| Hello! Welcome to the official UTAR-FES Online Community Forum! If you are reading this, chances are that you are currently studying at the UTAR FES (Faculty of Engineering and Science) campus in Setapak.
This forum was created for the following purposes:
- To allow for easy announcements of events/activities happening in UTAR-FES campus
- To allow students to submit feedback regarding campus facilities/services, so that in cooperation with the SRC (Student Representative Council), we can make a difference in-campus
- To allow students to put up notices (Lost and Found, Houses for Rent, Books for Sale etc.) that will be seen by the majority of UTAR students
- To cultivate a sense of unity among UTAR students by interacting/communicating among each other regardless of race, course and age
As with any other forum, there are some rules to observe:
- No spamming. Spam is defined as unnecessary/meaningless/repeated posts that do nothing but cause frustration to users who are looking for genuine information. To avoid spamming, please ensure that you read previous posts to see if anyone has raised a similar issue/question so that you don't say/ask the same thing twice. Users who spam abuse will be given a warning before being banned.
- No verbal abuse. Verbal abuse is defined as hurling vulgar language at another user in the forums. Excessively doing so will also result in a ban.
- No user harassment. Users should not start forum posts for the sole purpose of flaming/insulting other users, including people (students/lecturers) who are not aware of this forum's existence.
- We strongly encourage all to use proper language while typing for the benefit of others reading the forums. Using abbreviations/slang is acceptable provided that they are commonly used and understood.
- This forum is in English, but Chinese input of words is allowed. A good way to improve our English as well.

Well then, we hope that you reap the benefits of using this forum, and have fun doing so in an appropriate and ethical manner. Now start posting!
